I have a Sanyo 26″ HDTV hooked up to my computer through a DVI to HDMI cable. It’s a 720p with a resolution of 1366×768. I was wondering which resolution I should use, 1280×720(because of 720p) or 1366×768(native resolution). Which would look better on the display?

720P would look ok. IF your TV is compatible with 1080i do that instead
