I want to buy a new tv but im slightly confused about which to get? What are the advantages of an LCD to a Plasma? The plasmas seem cheaper than LCDs so does this mean LCDS are now better? HElP!

   LCD is better than Plasma trust me. Its all about picture quality. LCDs last longer.

   My el cheapo lcd is lot bigger than the plasma and love it was 18 months old my lcd is lot bigger than the plasma and love it really dont.
   For you ever find yourself moving interstate plasma has crap resale value got 120 for you ever find yourself moving interstate plasma and it really dont know.

   LCDs are getting better all the time.

   Plasmas have little tiny “light bulbs” of each color for each dot on the screen. Plasmas are bigger because they can only make the light bulbs so small. They use more electricity than LCD. The colors are better and can be seen from side angles

   LCDs have layers of each color that allow a light from behind to shine through of a given color for each dot. They are smaller because making the screen with larger dots would be all splotchy. LCDs still have issues of not seeing them well from side angles and fast motion cannot switch the dots fast enough and the picture blurrs, BUT they are getting better. Tvs that say 120 hz mean the dots switch faster and won’t blurr.
