I just got a plasma TV that I can change the color of the sidebars of a 4:3 image from black to medium and light gray. Which is best for preventing image burn-on - Light or dark sidebars? Or should I periodically switch colors?

Plasma tv’s should not be used with TIVO or other types of record, delay, pause feature devices. With a image paused on the tV for as little as 20 minutes, the image could burn onto the screen.

TVs over 42″ are better with Plasma screens. 32″ is optimum for LCD.
