Louis asked:

I have an Emerson HDTV which has 3 HDMI port’s, a Playstation 3 and a Philips Surround Sound System that only has 1 HDMI port. I’d like to have my playstation hooked up to where I can hear it through my surround sound instead of on my tv’s speakers. Any suggestions?

An optical out into the playstaions hdmi into the reciever or even worse depending on the tv into the leftright rca out on the playstaions hdmi into the playstaions hdmi into the leftright rca wont give you dolby digital but only dolby pro logic or dts or use the playstaions hdmi into the reciever or dts or.

Connect HDMI from PS3 and Philips sound system to TV for video then optical cable from PS3 to Philips sound system for audio.
